lschultz • January 25, 2019

If you need a chance to get out of the house this weekend but are not ready to quite brave the bitter temperatures outside, come join the MUCC outreach team in Grand Rapids. Magazine Editor Nick Green, Camp Director Max Bass, Co-ops Coordinator Morgan Warda and I will be at the Huntin’ Time Expo. The Huntin Time Expo is located at the Deltaplex and runs all three days this weekend.

West Michigan Owned and Operated the Huntin’ Time Expo has been offering a great family-friendly outdoors experience for over 25 years. Everything at the expo caters to hunters of all ages so bring the whole family for a day of fun! Shoot at the ranges, see monster bucks and shed antlers, win door prizes, attend seminars, shop at a wide variety of exhibitors and so much more.

There will be several seminars each day. Everything from dog training and food plots, to turkey and coyote hunting. Morgan Warda will be giving a seminar on Saturday and Sunday. She will be talking about how to start a wildlife cooperative with your neighbors to help improve habitat.
Our team will be at booth #554. We will be passing out Michigan OutofDoors Magazines, talking about MOOD Camp, talking about how to start a deer or pheasant coop and selling raffle tickets for a .450 Bushmaster. If you are in the area and looking for something to do come pay us a visit.

The dates and time are Friday 1PM-9PM, Saturday 9AM-7PM and Sunday 9AM-5PM
Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5-12. Kids get in free on Sunday and parking at the Deltaplex is free too.

Why is it Important?
By Olivia Triltsch April 23, 2026
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, MUCC’s OTG program partnered with the Clinton River Watershed Council and Metro-West Steelheaders to host the annual Clinton River clean-up at Yates Park. Volunteers removed about 270 pounds of trash from the riverbanks and the surrounding watershed. Approximately 80.3 acres of fish and wildlife habitat were directly impacted by this project, in addition to improving local outdoor recreational opportunities. Cleaning up the watershed is critical for ensuring safe drinking water, safe recreation, and a clean habitat for fish and wildlife alike.
