OTG: Allegan Coastal Marsh Clearing

The Allegan State Game Area is the largest state game area in Michigan and one of Michigan’s Wetland Wonders. Join us on Saturday, September 26th at 9am to improve wood duck habitat on it!

We're going to cut back encroaching forest in a coastal marsh to preserve and expand this high-quality wood duck habitat. The project will require chainsaw operation for those who have proper Personal Protective Equipment and experience. Cutting with loppers, handsaws, and brush stacking will be utilized as well!

Volunteers will meet at 9am at a gated two-track on the West side of 38th St just North of the 128th Ave intersection.

Lunch will be provided by MUCC for all volunteers and their choice of a free green and white or maize and blue T-shirt as part of the Spartan-Wolverine challenge, as well as a free digital subscription to Michigan OutofDoors Magazine!
