Education: Undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University (Speech & Theater Arts); Michigan State University (Master’s in Public Administration)

Professional Associations and Honors: In 1998 Muchmore received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the Michigan State University College of Social Science, Public Administration Program.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of GreenStone Farm Credit Services, Phoenix Composite Solutions, LLC, Physicians Health Plan MM, Liberty Renewable Fuels, LLC, and is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Michigan State University Public Policy Program.

He has previously been a member of the Board of Trustees of Oakland University, and on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Illinois University Foundation, the Delta Sigma Phi International Fraternity Foundation, the Lansing Community College Foundation, the Oakland University Foundation, the Capitol Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration, the Capital Area Humane Society, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and was a founding Board Member of the Michigan Festival. Additionally, in 2005-2006, he was a designee of the State Board of Education on the Professional Standards Commission for Teachers for the State of Michigan.

Muchmore is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, the American Society of Public Administrators, the Farm Credit Council, the Delta Sigma Phi International Fraternity, the American Society of Political Consultants and is a Life Member of the NAACP.

Sportsman Hobbies: Muchmore is an avid fly-fisherman — fishing the great rivers of Michigan and the U.S. West, and bringing several friends to the sport.

Family: Wife, Deborah; and one son, Sprint Executive P. Shane Muchmore of Atlanta, GA … oh — and two dogs, Oz and Chamois
