For 70 years, Michigan United Conservation Clubs has been the First Voice for Michigan’s Out-of-Doors. We speak for hunters, anglers, conservationists and the wild animals, wild places and wild adventures they love. MUCC is the only conservation organization in Michigan that works on all of the top conservation and environmental issues facing the state. We make sure that the voice of conservation is heard by working closely with Michigan’s Governor, legislators, congressional delegation, and leadership of the Departments of Natural Resources and Environmental Quality. We are effective because we have engaged, informed clubs and members who work with us to make policy-makers aware of the impact their decisions will have on Michigan’s out-of-doors. Our membership knows the issues, knows their legislators, and speaks their mind.
We focus our policy work in five areas: Sportsmen’s Heritage, Restoration, Habitat, and Access and If you want to know how you can take help defend Michigan’s conservation heritage, click on Take Action. Clicking on Policy Action Report will give you a bi-weekly update on the most current conservation and natural resource issues moving in Michigan. Success Stories reinforces the power of speaking together on issues that impact Michigan’s out-of-doors. Introduced Legislation lets you know all of the legislation before the Michigan legislature that affect’s Michigan’s out-of-doors. MUCC’s policy positions are voted on by our members. Convention Resolutions provide information about all of our policy positions and those issues being considered by our membership in the coming year. |
