On Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 9am we will be joining the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) to plant mast-producing trees in the Pigeon River Country. RMEF's Michigan chapter members have been completing habitat projects in the area for several consecutive years. Join us for the day as we combine our efforts to plant trees in a wildlife opening.

Project Location: Elk Meadows off Fisherman Trail Rd
Camp Site Area: Elk Meadows
GPS Coordinate: 45°13’39.0”N 84°28’13.6”W
The camping will be on state forest land, bring a tent or a small camper. No bathroom facilities
and large fifth wheel campers may not be able to negotiate the trail road to the campsite.
Friday: Meet and greet around the campfire
Saturday: 8:00 AM group breakfast; lunch in the field; evening dinner
bring a dish to pass.
Project Description: Native hawthorn and oak tree planting.
