MUCC, in partnership with Trout Unlimited and the DNR, will be hosting a two-day seminar on fish passage in the Great Lakes region and their effects on rivers and native species. Tuesday will offer a condensed version of the seminar in the evening while Wednesday is the full day event. The symposium is aimed at bringing together pertinent ecological research on the effects of either preventing or allowing fish passage from the Great Lakes into its tributaries. It is hoped that this information will help to clarify and focus the social, economic and political discussions necessary in deciding how to best manage Great Lakes fish passage.
For more information, contact Bryan Burroughs (MTU) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Evan Cusick (MUCC) at email@example.com. Please also RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, phone number, and affiliation (if applicable) and whether you plan to attend one or both days. This event is open to the public.
