This is what deer hunting and great deer hunting photos is all about. You not only have a terrific Michigan buck in the photo, you also have a hunter that is obviously very happy with her results.

The photo is well framed, in good focus and bright. There aren’t shadows on her face and the photo is taken in a natural setting. One small criticism would be the reflection of the flash in the deer’s eyes. Here’s a tip: Carry a set of taxidermy eyes used in deer mounts with you. When it comes time to take the photos, pop those eyes in and the flash reflection issues are solved.But, overall, this photo captures the spirit of Michigan’s deer season with a young hunter, a great buck and a photo that will capture the memories for a lifetime.
