Affiliate Club Benefits

Conserve. Defend. Protect. Join.

MUCC affiliate clubs receive a range of benefits and their contributions support MUCC’s education, advocacy and outreach efforts to defend the rights to hunt, fish, trap and shoot in Michigan and to conserve our natural resources for current and future generations. There are three levels of club affiliation: Member Club, Statewide Club and Sustaining Club. All clubs receive benefits including:

  • Opportunities to participate in MUCC lobby days, action alerts and other grassroots advocacy programs that allow members to personally protect our natural resources and outdoor heritage.
  • Access to a built-in network of conservation professionals, including full-time legislative affairs, resource policy and grassroots advocacy staff.
  • Assistance in providing local school sponsorship of Tracks Magazine for kids in your area. Help Michigan’s youth learn about the unique plants, animals and resources that Michigan has to offer.
  • Five percent (5%) discount on club insurance policies with many extras, including free, no obligation insurance reviews, assess to risk management and loss prevention programs and more through Berkfield and Company, Ltd. a Michigan-based company experienced with club insurance.
  • Ability to post club events for free on www.mucc.org and www.michiganoutofdoors.com.
  • Access to email newsletters: Michigan OutofDoors Update and MUCC’s Conservation Insider, which provide up-to-the-minute conservation news. Know what’s happening with your issues before anyone else!
  • Access to the Club Corner on www.mucc.org with beneficial information for your club.
  • Discounts on Michigan OutofDoors University programming; natural resource-focused programming designed by members for members.

Member Clubs

Member Clubs are clubs, groups, organizations and associations that accept MUCC’s mission and purpose and have 100% of their members affiliated with MUCC. The annual contribution is $5 per member, or a minimum of $150 for clubs that have less than 30 members. In addition to the benefits listed above, Member Club benefits also include:

  • An annual subscription to the DIGITAL EDITION of Michigan Out-of-Doors magazine for each club member.
  • Club members can upgrade their membership to a include a print version of Michigan Out-of-Doors magazine for a discounted rate of $20 per year.
  • Ability to vote at district and regional meetings and at MUCC’s Annual Convention (number of votes determined by number of members in Member Club)
  • Ability to help set MUCC’s conservation policy through the resolution process.
  • Access to early registration for Michigan OutofDoors Youth Camp and access to reduced Camp fees. Sessions include Stewardship, Conservation Connecthion, Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting and more.
  • Ability to become a member at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union and have access to great loan rates and account services.
  • Ability for your members to apply for a MUCC Visa credit card through Michigan State University Federal Credit Union with no annual fee and low annual interest rates.
  • Charitable gaming licensing for your club.
  • Access to the Range Stewardship Program for your club.
  • Free access to MUCC’s conference room facilities.

Statewide Affiliate Clubs

Statewide Clubs are those clubs approved by the MUCC Membership Committee whose membership accepts and agrees to promote the purposes and objectives of MUCC and that have a membership distributed across the state of Michigan. The annual contribution is $250. In addition to those listed at the top, Statewide Affiliate Club benefits include:

  • Two votes at MUCC’s Annual Convention and equal representation at MUCC District 20 meetings.
  • Ability to help set MUCC’s conservation policy through the resolution process.
  • One annual subscription to the DIGITAL and print editions of Michigan OutofDoors magazine per club.
  • Twenty-five dollar ($25) discounts on school wildlife education programs through Howell Nature Center and the Outdoor Discovery Center.
  • Free access to MUCC’s conference room facilities.

Sustaining Clubs

Sustaining Clubs are persons, groups, corporations, organizations and companies who annually contribut to mUCC and who accept and agree to promote the purposes and objectives of MUCC. The minimum annual contribution is $150. In addition to those listed at the top, Sustaining Clubs are eligible for the following extra benefits:

  • One annual subscription to the DIGITAL and print editions of Michigan OutofDoors magazine per club.
  • Twenty-five dollar ($25) discounts on school wildlife education programs through Howell Nature Center and the Outdoor Discovery Center.
