Salary Range: $40,000-$45,000+benefits
Founded in 1937, MUCC is the largest, most effective statewide conservation organization in the nation. Representing over 45,000 members, MUCC is the leading voice for hunting, fishing, trapping and natural resources conservation in Michigan. MUCC is a routine player in legislative and administrative affairs in Lansing and Washington D.C. As an education organization, MUCC connects young people and their families to nature and our outdoor heritage through our residential youth camp each summer. As a communications organization, we provide entertaining and informative materials through Michigan Out-of-Doors Magazine, Michigan’s premier quarterly outdoor journal, and Tracks Magazine, our award winning STEM-based publication for upper-elementary aged kids.
About the Position
This position provides vital support to MUCC’s mission and members by coordinating several important functions. First, the position provides support to the bookkeeping and accounting functions by handling accounts receivables, processing daily deposits, and invoicing. This position prepares materials for our month-end financial reporting and drives our account coding process.
This position oversees communications and interaction with our affiliate clubs, club members, and affiliate club leadership and facilitates the orderly and systematic processing of club member renewals and fulfillment of benefits. This position develops and documents processes that enable the efficient handling of member requests and makes recommendations to the Executive Director and others on staff on strategies that will result in increased membership growth and retention. This position will also provide oversight for the staff person responsible for processing individual memberships and Tracks sponsorships.
This position coordinates vendor relationships with external service providers and serves as the point of contact for vendors such as utility providers, printing and publishing vendors, shipping and postal accounts.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
-A wholly positive approach and outlook to their work. As customer service and member relations are a primary function of this position a courteous and confident demeanor is essential. -Demonstrated proficiency working with Quickbooks and the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel in particular.
-Keen attention to detail and a high level of organization are features the successful candidate will demonstrate as well.
-Process oriented, able to dissect current work flows and find efficiencies
-Enthusiastic support for the mission of MUCC
-Experience working for non-profit organization or association
-Experience working with membership databases
-Possession of a bachelor’s degree
A salary between $40,000-$45,000 depending upon your qualifications and experience. An excellent package of health, vision, and dental insurance. Participation in a TIAA-Cref 403b retirement plan. A generous leave and time off policy that includes major holidays, the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, and Fridays off from the 1st of July through Labor Day.
