Ask Sen. Stabenow and NRCS Chief David White your conservation questions on Sept. 1st!August 30th, 2011
For MUCC members and family that are able to spare some time this coming Thursday, September 1st, MUCC has a great chance for you meet Senator Debbie Stabenow and USGA Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) Chief David White and ask them questions about federal conservation issues that are important to you.
The event will be hosted from 11:00am – 12:30pm at the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, located at 8415 Curtis Rd, Frankenmuth 48734.
There is no cost to attend the event. Light refreshments will be provided and the program will start at 11:20 with questions to follow.
Who is NRCS Chief David White, you might ask? Chief White oversees our nation’s USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly known as the Soil Conservation Service. NRCS works in partnership with farmers, landowners, local agencies and other organizations who share the common goal of conserving our natural resources. The agency has significant influence over the protection of our Great Lakes and waterways through their technical and financial assistance programs for landowners, such as the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), and others.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to represent MUCC, your club, and Michigan sportsmen and women, and to meet high level decision makers in national conservation policy. Don’t forget to bring your burning conservation-minded questions!
For space and refreshment purposes, please let MUCC Legislative Affairs Manager Kent Wood know you will be attending by emailing him at email@example.com or by calling him at 517-346-6462.
