Farmers report no animals in the post deer season and sightings by hunters during the season resembled hunting in 1970.
Between the disease and coyotes, I suspect deer hunting will never return to the levels seen in the 1990s and the early part of the 21st century. I suspect the insurance companies see the bright side but for long time hunters, it appears to be a disaster. I only hope the turkeys can continue to thrive.
