Comments on: Court Decision Alters Sport Shooting Ranges Act (SSRA) As We Know It

Earlier I asked who the Judges of the Court
of Appeals were, so that we could vote them out. Someone gave the
names of 3 judges probably from a different district, but Addison
Township is in Oakland County – the 2nd District Court of Appeals.
Those judges are Elizabeth L Gleicher, Kathleen Jansen, Deborah A
Servitto.
They are currently up for re-election, but
unfortunately they are running unopposed. It’s too late to coordinate a
write in campaign, but there is no way I am vote for these 3 clowns. I
guess I will just write in Howdy Doody, Bozo, and Dumbo – just to show
my displeasure.
By the way, where is the male balance in this court?

Let me be the voice of reason here.

Let’s get one thing straight: this ruling is not an attack on the Second Amendment, nor will it inhibit a majority of shooter-run clubs from continuing normal operations. A majority of clubs (including my home club) are non-commercial, member-run, 501(c)7 organizations that are immune to this judicial action.

I have the feeling that there is some legalese here in either the 1989 law or 1994 amendment that makes this ruling sensible. Indeed, it would be strange if the judges randomly ruled that non-commercial operations are the only ones protected under this law.

Does someone more familiar with me have more information on what the ruling *actually said*? That information is important to this debate.

MUCC has always been an advocate for gun club rights. I was personally involved with a situation where the local community was trying to shut down our local gun club but MUCC came to our aid and had all the rediculous restrictions reversed. Thank you MUCC for having our back.

This is an an action that impacts all sportsman and all the shooting sports including our American hunting heritage.
Make sure you contact your representitives and inform them of your displeasure in regards to this appeals court decision.
Also, sent a donation to the MUCC,l they can always use the money…….
