MUCC Welcomes Three New Clubs
February 27th, 2012Three clubs were approved for affiliation by the MUCC Board of Directors at their February meeting. The Thunder Bay Walleye Club and St. Clair-Detroit River Sturgeon for Tomorrow were affiliated as 100% clubs and the Fennville Rod & Gun Club was re-affiliated in the Sustaining category.
Located in Alpena, The Thunder Bay Walleye Club sponsors tournaments, operates a rearing pond, holds fishing seminars and assists their community in helping out at events. The current president is Jim Leeseberg and the group has 70 members.
The St. Clair-Detroit River Sturgeon for Tomorrow club is a non-profit organization based in Southeastern Michigan committed to the conservation and propagation of Lake Sturgeon. They currently list 28 members and their president is Jim Felgenauer.
The Fennville Rod & Gun Club, located in Fennville has become a Sustaining Club. The club has trap, skeet, rifle and pistol ranges at the club and has over 100 members.
