MUCC Resolutions Make a Difference (with Video)February 14th, 2012
MUCC’s Annual Region III and IV Meetings are coming up this weekend and this is your chance to help set MUCC’s policies and priorities for the upcoming year. Get your resolutions ready! MUCC’s membership establishes the organization’s policies and priorities each year at MUCC’s Annual Convention in June through resolutions that come from MUCC members, clubs, districts, regions or board of directors. The regional meetings are the one place that MUCC’s member clubs and districts can bring forth resolutions that may go on to MUCC’s Annual Convention (this year June 22-23 in Lansing). The locations and times of the Regional Meetings are below.
If you are interested in writing resolutions and looking for an example, check out the policies that passed at the 2011 Convention. If you want to know if we have past policy on a specific issue or need assistance with research, please contact Resource Policy Manager Amy Trotter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MUCC members can be part of positive policy solutions in Lansing and help promote and preserve Michigan’s strong hunting heritage. Just listen to MUCC’s Resource Policy Manager Amy Trotter on the successful implementation of the Mentored Youth Hunting Program, which was prompted by a 2010 Annual Convention resolution.
